GETTING TO NOTTINGHAM
The UK is easy to get to! And you have lots of options! It’s only 90 minutes from London by train and there are 7 airports that are within 2 hours of Nottingham (by train).
Flying to UK
HEATHROW LHR
Is the biggest UK airport. From here, your best bet is the Picadilly tube line into London to St. Pancras International and then a direct train to Nottingham Station. There is a Heathrow Express train into London, but it doesn’t go to St. Pancras which is the mainline to Nottingham.
UBER can be £250-300 depending on timings. DG Cars can do a pickup for around £240.

St. Pancras is the mainline to Nottingham from London
There are lots of taxi companies and there will be taxis sat at each airport but prices to Nottingham could be quite variable from reasonable to horribly expensive.
Uber prices are equally variable, as you know, depending on timings and availability.
If you’re thinking of a pickup then you can email DG cars (which is based in Nottingham) to arrange a quote with your flight details. Email either Dan.Freeman@dgcars.co.uk or Zainab.Ameer@dgcars.co.uk
Heathrow- £194 for a car £295 for a minibus
Manchester- £160 for a car £245 for a minibus
Birmingham- £103 for a car £160 for a minibus
Gatwick- £238 for a car £254 for a minibus

GATWICK LGW
LGW is south of London but there are regular trains into London, including Kings Cross which is effectively the same train station as London St. Pancras. From here there are plenty of direct trains into Nottingham.
EAST MIDLANDS EMA
East Midlands Airport is the closest airport to the conference venue in Nottingham. It is a smaller airport with less flights and destinations but does cover many destinations in Europe.
BIRMINGHAM BHX
BHX is quite close to Nottingham and less than 1 hour drive. Birmingham Airport station to Birmingham New Street is only 11 mins. Trains are then direct to Nottingham from New Street and approximately 60 mins.
LUTON LTN
Luton Airport is a London airport with some short connections to stations like Corby that are then direct to Nottingham. (all under 2 hours)
There are National Express buses from Luton too.
STANSTED STN
Is quite close to Cambridge but still classed as a London airport. It is possibly easier to catch a train into London (the Stansted Express) and then Victoria Tube line to St. Pancras Station and then a train to Nottingham. Alternative route by 2 trains (Airport to Ely and Ely to Nottingham).
MANCHESTER MAN
Is north-west of Nottingham, but there are direct (and indirect) trains to Nottingham (timetable here) via Manchester Picadilly, which is the city station. Not the best airport overall for connecting to Nottingham, although only 90 mins by car.

TRAINS TO NOTTINGHAM FROM MAINLAND EUROPE
It is easy to get to the UK via Eurostar from mainland stations like Paris Gare du Nord, Lille Europe and Brussels Midi.
